I know, I know, it’s just as silly as it sounds.
In my continued Plastic-Free July efforts, I’ve been trying to make small, but permanent, shifts towards a minimally plastic life. In my continued shift towards an organic-life, I’ve been trying to find an all-natural deodorant that didn’t make me smell like a hippie. So you can imagine how excited I was when I tried out Wren Natural and actually loved it!
What first fancied me about Wren was the glass container and invigorating grapefruit scent. What turned me into a believer was that it actually worked. The one thing that is a bit of a learning curve is that Wren is applied with your fingers. Yup. You put your fingers in the jar, then massage it into your pits. It’s as weird as it sounds the first time, but gets less taboo with each application. And thankfully, it just makes my fingers smell delightful instead of transferring any unpleasant post-yoga-scents onto my hands. Ew.

This plastic-free July, I’m doing an overhaul one small step at a time. I’ve invested in a Pelican whole home filtration system, switched us over to glass straws, started shopping in bulk, and have vowed to give up plastic flossers after this bag runs out. I’m going to switch to reusable cotton rounds and I’m hooked on my water-filtering reusable bottle from KorPlus so I never have to buy a water bottle in a pinch again. But let’s get real, I’m not perfect. Rather horrified by how much plastic waste we have DAILY in the recyclable. And I haven’t come close to being able to part with grabbing a latte to go while I’m out and about. How are you doing on Plastic Free July? Do you have any tips?!
