Jackson Hole isn’t just your typical generic ski village. It is a rustic cowboy town surrounded by acres upon acres of national parks that just happens to have some mountains you can ski. And it is awesome.

We decided to stay at the Four Seasons in Teton Village because our main prerogative was to log some ski days. The Four Seasons was incredibly reasonably priced and it’s the only ski in/ski out hotel in the area. {Tip: We booked through American Express Travel to get that $100 resort credit, included breakfast and a complimentary upgrade.}
However, there are a zillion smaller hotels sprinkled throughout Jackson Hole town and Teton Villiage, including some pretty unique places like the hipster Anvil Hotel, the questionably haunted Wort Hotel, or the new boutique spot, Hotel Jackson.
Whether you stay in Jackson Hole or Teton Village, I recommend you rent a car from the airport. You’ll want to explore all the area has to offer and parking is hassle-free.

Elk Sleigh Ride – There is an elk reserve located right outside of Jackson Hole airport. When there’s enough snow on the ground, you can take a sleigh ride through the reserve. Without enough snow, they take guests out on horse-drawn wagons.
Ski / Board @ Teton Mountain and Jackson Hole – Beautiful manicured mountains with little to non-existent crowds. {Tip: we have the Mountain Collective Pass – so Teton is included in the resorts we get to ski 2 days free!}
Teton Animal Drive / Southern Yosemite – My prerogative was to drive North until I spotted a Bison, and it worked! There are so many gorgeous snowy drives into the wilderness surrounding the Jackson Hole area where you’re basically guaranteed to see animal sightings!

Persephone Bakery – Bright and chic bakery serving up fresh baked good, LA approved lattes, and a variety of brunch options. Great for vegans and vegeterians!
Piste Mountain Bistro – We seriously enjoyed this elevated dining experience on Teton Mountain. A full sit down restaurant with great champagne and a much more curated menu than the typical cafeteria style dining found at most mountain top restaurants. 
We had great aprés snacks and cocktails at Handlebar Restaurant at the Four Seasons. Next time we return we’ll definitely make reservations for the widely recommended Wild Sage and Bin 22.

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar – did you even go to Jackson Hole if you don’t get a photo on the infamous saddle bar stools? Well, Cowboy Bar was closed for renovations when I was there, so I may have just discredited this entire post ;). Seriously though, it’s a must and I can’t wait to go grab a beer here on my next visit. This place has been around so long my dad remembers visiting in his 20s, that’s pretty cool.
Silver Dollar Bar – similar to Cowboy bar in the nostalgia factor, this old cowboy bar is the perfect place to grab a glass of whiskey. Located inside the Hotel Wart, it’s a must for history buffs too. The entire bar top is made of silver dollars.
Handle Bar – Best spot for Apres ski, located at the base of Teton Mountain inside the Four Seasons.
