Let’s Revamp Our Lives!
It’s SIX MONTHS until my wedding day. Six short months. And well, I really need to kick my ass into high gear. Not just on a physical level, but emotionally.
For the past few months I have been testing out different diets and tweaking fitness plans, but I’m a firm believer you can’t clean up your body without cleaning up your life. And well, my life is a bit all over the place. I’m stressed and spread thin, frazzled and unorganized, lacking direction, indulgent.. should I continue?
I’m ready for a change, I need it. A life over-haul, a revamping. I want to clean up my body, mind, living situation, relationships, self image… the whole damn nine yards. But I rather not do it alone. Actually, I’m not even sure if I could do it alone. Through the Traveling Fig facebook page and my blog www.travelingfig.com I’m going to start publicly tracking my progress, and I would love to have you join me. My dream is for this to be a collaboration of sorts. A place where we can build a little community of support and encourage one another to stay on track. The goal is long term: I want a clearer mind, healthier body and let’s get real, abs.. I want abs.
Weekly: Nutrition, grocery shopping, and recipe suggestions to help clean up our diets. They are just sample meal plans and guides, but completely open to individual interpretation. From there, we can have an open discussion about what works and what doesn’t. I’m also going to do a weekly ‘life cleanup’ challenge that could be anything from get rid of your mess drawer to adding a 2 minute stretch every morning when you wake up. (Feel free to get started on the mess drawer, that will be the challenge for week one.. Just remember to take a before/after photo!)
Daily: Every day I’ll do a post with what I ate that day, if I exercised, and how I felt. I encourage you to post your daily results in the comment of my post too! It helps hold you accountable. Either way, I strongly suggest that we all keep a food journal of what and how much we eat, when we eat it, if we exercise, and how we feel. I’ll also be posting health, fitness and well being tips and inspiration too!
Traveling Fig Group Goals: To encourage one another to stay on tract, to share insight and tips, and to build a community of support. To post cheesy motivation quotes and use the love button liberally. To be honest and open and proud of every small step… proud you are giving yourself the opportunity to make a real and lasting change.
Group starts Monday HERE.. I hope you’ll join me, I could really use the support xo
