Kielbasa Pineapple Appetizer
Healthy they are not. Crowd pleaser though – they are golden. And so very cheap and easy to make.
1 package of Kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 large can of pineapple chunks, in juice
1 tsp garlic powder or minced garlic
healthy shake of salt and pepper
dash of cayenne powder
Optional sauce add ins: 2 tbs teriyaki sauce and/or 1 tbs honey
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Strain pineapples from juice. Transfer juice to a bowl, and stir in brown sugar, garlic, cayenne, salt and pepper.
3. Using a toothpick, stab pineapple chunk then kielbasa piece. Dip into juice mixture and place on parchment paper. Continue until all pineapple and kielbasa are used.
4. drizzle remaining sauce on top of bites and bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.
